The One Snack That Will Keep You Satiated for Hours

Hi Three to Five Tribe! If you have been following my blog for a while now then you know fat is your friend. I have even practiced a Keto lifestyle in the past. Not only does fat help you absorb certain vitamins and minerals, but it helps keep you satiated, balances blood sugar levels, is the building blocks of healthy hormones and feeds your brain to give it fuel for all of those out of those brilliant ideas. If you are super sick of snacking on homemade fat bombs or Keto ice cream, try this super easy and delicious snack that is perfect for an on the go busy lifestyle.


Avocado + Nutritional Yeast

If you need another reason to love avocado, try eating it with a tablespoon (or two) of nutritional yeast. I usually eat half of an avocado at breakfast and the other half for lunch. Although an avocado on its own is quite delicious, one day I decided to mix it up by adding one heaping tablespoon of nutritional yeast to give it an addictively umami taste and just like that I found my new favorite go to snack. This snack even makes the perfect complement for a plant-based meal. My favorite is 2-3 heads of roasted broccoli with half of an avocado and a scoop or two of nutritional yeast. Plus, the combination of fat from the avocado, protein from the nutritional yeast and fiber from the broccoli will keep you full for hours.
